Privacy & data location

G Kanban is built and operated by Benri.tech, a DBA of The Technical Initiative, LLC. For any privacy question not answered here, reach out at support@gkanban.com.

If you never sign in, G Kanban makes no network calls at all for normal use — your boards exist only in this browser. See Local-first & signing in.

If you sign in and enable sync, your board data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). The app itself is delivered through Cloudflare’s global CDN. Signing in via Google or GitHub shares only your email, display name, avatar URL, and provider account ID with G Kanban — your password is never seen, because there isn’t one.

  • Track how you click, scroll, or type — no third-party behavioral analytics
  • Record session replays of your work — a strict content security policy blocks third-party and inline scripts, so nothing outside G Kanban can watch what you do
  • Sell or share your data with third parties
  • Show you ads or build an ad profile from your activity
  • Track you across sites with advertising or cross-site cookies
  • Train AI models on your content
  • Infer your behavior across devices or accounts

Most of this is already spelled out in the Privacy Policy and Security pages. The last two aren’t in that written policy yet — they’re true today, but if G Kanban ships AI features later, check back here and in the Privacy Policy for an update.

If you create a public share link for a board, anyone holding that link can view it without signing in, until you revoke it or it expires. Such a link exposes card fronts — titles, labels, priority, due dates, checklist progress as counts, styling and layout, plus column titles and WIP limits. It never exposes card descriptions, the wording of checklist items, who a card is assigned to, or a card’s column history.

For each link we record a view count and the time of the last view — never a viewer’s IP address or identity. The shared board page sets no cookies and writes nothing to a viewer’s local storage.

  • Delete local data wipes your browser’s local copy only.
  • Delete account removes your cloud data from active systems immediately, and from backups within 30 days.

See Deleting data & account for how to do either.
